How does skyando work?

The flexible search helps you find the cheapest departure and return dates for your trip. First, you select the total time frame in which your trip can take place flexibly (earliest outbound / latest return), and then your desired minimum and maximum trip duration. In the next step, we list the best flight prices within your preferred travel period in a clear overview.

For example, if you have two weeks off for your holiday, you select this period in the calendar as the possible total time frame in which your trip can take place flexibly.
If you want to travel for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 10 days, you can select this time span using the slider. The best flight deals often remain hidden with traditional search tools due to inflexible search options, as flight prices can vary greatly depending on departure and return dates. You can often save a lot of money by shifting your travel dates by just one day or by shortening or extending your trip. That's why we offer a flexible flight search that allows you to explore wide time frames with just a single search query — making it easy to find the best flight deals. Yes, simply click on the “More options” button below the search window. There you can exclude specific weekdays separately for outbound and return flights. For example, if you want to travel in June or July for a weekend, select the period 01.06 – 31.07, a trip duration of 1 – 2 days, and then deselect Monday to Thursday for both the outbound and return flight. Yes, simply tick the box for “One-way only”. This works for both the flexible and the classic search. Yes, simply tick the box for “Direct flights. First, book your desired flight without checked baggage. Afterwards, you can use the e-ticket number from your flight ticket to add checked baggage directly on the airline's website. The flexible search checks all possible flight combinations within the selected time frame. For three months, this already results in over 4000 combinations being queried individually. To ensure system stability, the flexible search is limited to a maximum of 90 days for the total period and 60 days for the travel duration. However, you can use the “Classic Search” tab to select a trip duration longer than 60 days. Alternatively, you can use the flexible search with separate one-way searches for outbound and return flights to find the best prices. Once you’ve chosen a date combination and perform a detailed (or classic) search, a “Show filters” button appears above the search results. Click this button to filter by maximum flight duration, stops, airlines, and departure times. These filters are not available in the first step of the flexible flight search. This is unfortunately not technically possible, as the relevant data is not available to us at that stage. Only once you choose a specific date combination and perform a detailed search will we receive the flight duration data from the airlines. At that point, you can use filters to limit the maximum duration. Alternatively, you can activate “Direct flights only” in the flexible search to get the best connections right from the first step. An open-jaw function is not available on skyando. However, you can search for individual legs as one-way flights on skyando. Currently, skyando does not support searching multiple destinations at once. However, you can run a separate search for each destination. You can book additional baggage directly with the airline after purchasing your flight ticket. The cost varies by airline. Prices are available on the respective airline websites. After choosing a flight, click the “Book flight” button. We will then redirect you to the provider’s website, where you can complete your booking. After booking a flight, a search window will appear on the skyando page where you can look for cheap rental cars at your destination. You can also search directly for rental cars on skyando at Car Hire After booking a flight, a search window will appear on the skyando page where you can look for cheap hotels at your destination. You can also search directly for hotels on skyando at Hotels The flexible search uses cached flight data that may be up to 14 days old. In rare cases, prices may have changed in the meantime. The flexible search uses cached flight data. For your chosen route and time period, there may currently be no entries available. To see all available flights, please use the classic search. Yes, our service is free for you to use. We generally list prices from all major airlines, such as Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France, KLM, Ryanair, Eurowings, EasyJet, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and many more. You can also find flight prices from trustworthy online travel agencies on skyando. We do not exclude any reliable providers or favour partners based on possible commission payments, enabling a neutral price comparison. In general, all prices shown in our search results are the final prices provided by the respective vendors, including VAT and all fees. However, the availability and amount of these prices may change at short notice, and some providers may charge additional fees for baggage or other services. Therefore, the final price should always be double-checked on the provider’s website before booking. As a price comparison service, we do not have access to your booking.
